Set among the trees at Bert Jeffrey Park in Murdoch, this small but flexible facility was designed to support local sport and community connection.
Home to the Applecross Cricket Club, the building functions during the season as a kiosk and changerooms for both home and away teams.
In the off-season, large sliding doors and a moveable internal wall transform the space into a park-facing community room.
High-level louvres and ventilation panels allow for natural light and airflow while maintaining privacy and security.
A laser-cut artwork of the Carnaby Cockatoo – a significant species endemic to the local area – was developed in-house and applied to the building’s doors, grounding the design in its place.
