Karl BullersManaging Director Old Courthouse Fremantle
[…]On top of all that, construction of the Courthouse kicked off in June 2021 – right as the industry was beginning to feel the squeeze of pandemic related materials and labour shortages. And most significantly, we needed the $7m transformation completed in just 6 months so we could open for summer trading. In what was an incredibly intensive 6 months, Slavin worked tirelessly with the builder and our various fit out contractors and surprised everyone – including themselves – to see the project delivered on time and on budget. This was all managed without compromising on the exacting standards that I get the sense are a hallmark of every Slavin project.

Steve ClarkeCity of Melville Senior Projects Officer
I have worked with Slavin Architects on several City of Melville projects dating back to 2019. In that time, they have provided a high standard of service ranging from stakeholder consultation and design through to contract administration. Without exception, all projects are serviced by senior staff and design excellence is supported by quality reporting, communication and a commitment to meeting to project deadlines.

Paul OmodeiShire of Manjimup President
On behalf of the Shire of Manjimup, I wish to congratulate Slavin Architects and the project team on your success in being named the Winner for Steel Excellence in Steel Clad Structures for the Sandra Donovan Sound Shell at the recent 2018 Australian Steel Institute Awards.
The Shire appointed south-west builders Smith Construction who, with the well documented designs by Slavin Architects, effectively delivered the project on time and on budget. All-in-all the Shire are more than pleased with the project design and delivery.
The Sound Shell can only be described as a state-of-the-art, exceptional facility that delivers a multi- functional, robust and accessible performance venue that will increase the community’s access to arts and culture by attracting a range of performance arts to our region.

Brad PettitMayor of Fremantle
The MSC building has been a fantastic modern addition to the architecture of Fremantle’s heritage- listed West End. It really is Fremantle’s heritage of the future. The quality of the design and construction should serve as an example to other developers involved in the current revitalisation of Fremantle, and I congratulate everyone involved in the project.

Peter DeagueMetropolitan Cemeteries Board Chief Executive Officer
[Slavin Architects] undertake research for all of their projects thoroughly and ensure that the research also includes the broader industry.
Their project management skills are very strong and they ensure that builders are kept on track during the construction phase. Their staff make themselves readily available and are easily contactable.
Their designs are clean, modern interpretations of traditional cemetery architecture, which do not necessarily follow current architectural trends, and they look for opportunities to reinterpret and redesign in order to improve products. They are willing to expand their knowledge of the cemetery industry through visiting other cemeteries and reviewing infrastructure and facilities.
Both Murray and Stuart have worked collaboratively with MCB staff and have sought to ensure sustainable outcomes thereby ensuring cost savings for the MCB both in construction and in the on- going maintenance and operation.
